Mental Health America of Augusta provided almost 550 online mental health screenings in 2020.


MHA-A welcomes six interns from MHA-A

Mental Health America of Augusta has partnered with Blue Ridge Community College to provide 6 internships for the spring semester. We are extremely excited to have the interns work on projects that will provide a lasting impact on our community.

Sustainability Grant awarded to MHA-A

MHA-A received a $5,386 sustainability grant from the city of Staunton and the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge. The grants, which originate from CARES Act allocations to the city and Augusta County, were intended to support the sustainability of the local nonprofit sector which, along with for-profit businesses, have faced many financial challenges as a direct result of the pandemic.


Resources: Grief Support Programs

Augusta Health’s Hospice of the Shenandoah has announced grief support programs for the first quarter of 2021. Support groups and individual support is available. All grief support services require pre-registration.


Virtual Training Opportunity: ACEs on February 4

When children experience traumatic events, it can have lasting effects on their mental health and wellbeing. These events are called ACEs. Join several local organizations for a free virtual training on February 4, 2021 from 5-8 p.m.
