Free outpatient counseling services available

Intercept Health is the proud recipient of a SAMHSA Emergency COVID-19 Grant. The funding period began on July 1, 2021 and will be available through May 31, 2022. This program is meant to provide free outpatient counseling services to individuals impacted by COVID-19.

safeTALK suicide-prevention training offered September 29

Mental Health America of Augusta, Valley Community Services Board, Rockbridge Area Community Services Board and Lock & Talk Virginia present safeTALK on Wednesday, September 29, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Waynesboro. The training is being offered as part of Suicide Prevention Awareness month.

Today, Mental Health America (MHA), with support from Lundbeck, released a new brief, Severe Depression and COVID-19: Communities in Need Across the U.S., analyzing data collected from 725,949 individuals who took a depression screen (PHQ-9) as part of the MHA Screening Program in 2020.
