MHAA receives support from Youth Philanthropy Council

Since 2008, the YPC has granted a total of $220,500 to local nonprofit organizations serving youth. Throughout those years, the youth participating in the YPC have consistently recognized the importance of ensuring that their peers have access to programs and services that support their well-being.


MHAA establishes A.R. “Pete” Giesen Jr. Scholarship Fund

An increased number of calls have been coming into the Mental Health America of Augusta office this month related to depression and anxiety. The Staunton-based nonprofit is ready to answer the mighty call to action from our community.


MHA-A presents safeTALK on May 28

Mental Health America of Augusta, Valley Community Services Board and Lock & Talk Virginia present safeTALK on Friday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Waynesboro. There is no cost. However, pre-registration is required.
