Advocacy update: Youth mental health crisis report released
We urge you to write your State Senator and local delegates to encourage them to support increased funding for mental health.
Mental Health America released a report Tuesday titled Addressing the Youth Mental Health Crisis: The Urgent Need for More Education, Services and Supports. The report documents troubling trends in youth mental health as well as emerging youth leadership to address this crisis. It highlights innovative and exemplary state policies in the areas of mental health education, mental health services in schools, and mental health excused absences. The report discussed the current inequity in access to mental health care and how school-based services can address disparities.
